How To Keep Rug On Carpet

March 7th, 2011 lucstalucsta No comments

Some people can admit that they have tried everything to keep their rug from moving on their carpet. There are sticky rug to rug pads and tape that claim to work for rug on carpet. These sticky materials may keep a very small rug from moving on a carpet yet they are not worth much for room size rugs on carpet with traffic and furniture on them.

When a rug is on carpet, it needs a solid foundation in order to stay flat and wrinkle free. The trouble with a thinner, sticky rug to rug pad is that this type of rug pad does not provide any foundation, or density, for the rug. When the rug on carpet is walked on or has furniture on it, there is much pressure and weight pushing down into the rug. If a rug pad is simply thin and sticky, this is not enough to resist pressure to keep your rug flat and free of buckles.

no-muv rug and carpet pad keeps rugs flat on carpet

No-Muv is specially designed to keep rugs flat and wrinkle free on top of carpet. Available at Rug Pad Corner

No-Muv rug to rug, rug on rug, rug on carpet or rug over carpet pad is the answer to the question, “how to keep a rug on carpet.” the difference between No-Muv rug and carpet pad and the other sticky rug pads is substantial:

No-Muv contains a specially stiffened lower felt surface that is meant to grab the carpet and prevent creeping, and it works! No-Muv is about 1/4 of an inch dense felt that truly is dense and solid enough to resist most of the weight and pressure that normally causes a rug on carpet to move, wrinkle and buckle. A common example of a rug wrinkling on carpet is when a coffee table sits on a rug and causes areas around the rug to buckle up. When No-Muv is under the rug, it resists the pressure from the weight of the table and keeps the rug flat and wrinkle free on the carpet. The felt surface of No-Muv is needle punched into an extremely dense pile to provide the best resistance possible for any rug on any carpet.

While the thinner sticky rug pads truly do not work for a rug on carpet, they are much less money than No-Muv. A common comment we hear is that regardless of the cost of the rug pad, if it doesn’t work, it is not worth anything. No-Muv is a more expensive rug pad yet it works and this is where the value is. No-Muv rug to rug pad takes away the problem of wrinkled rugs on carpet, creeping rugs on carpet, buckling rugs on carpet and answers the common question of how to keep a rug flat on carpet. Shop for No-Muv at more reputable rug stores and a few online stores as well.

No-Muv Rug on Carpet Pad Saved Me Much Stress!

February 26th, 2010 lucstalucsta No comments

I was sick of walking into my living room only to see my rug wrinkled in several places. Walking on it seemed almost hazardous as I felt like I was tripping allover the place. I finally decided to rip the flimsy, paper thin sticky white pad off of it and try one that a friend told me about, No-Muv non slip carpet pad.

The pad arrived and let me say it is not what I was used to. Instead of some paper thin sticky material, this pad is extremely dense and about 1/4 of an inch thick. I bought it online and they automatically cut it a little less than the rug size. Thankfully they dod, or else I would have a struggle trying to cut it.

As soon as I layed our the No-Muv rug pad, the difference was immediatelt noticebale! My rug actually stayed flat and in place even when we placed the furniture on it. One problem I was having before getting the No-Muv rug pad is that in the places the furniture was sitting, the weight of the furniture caused parts of the rug to be lifted. This is not the case with No-Muv.

After a few days I tried to vacuum. The rug did not budge on top of the No-Muv pad. I am truly thankful that I no longer feel like tripping when I walk on my living room rug. This is one incredible rug on carpet pad and I have ended my frustrations. Thank you No-Muv for such a wonderful product! It is a little more expensive than all the other pads but this one is the one that works.
